While they go by many names, each of these terms refers to the same type of added coverage for appliances. While most product manufacturers offer some type of standard warranty, it is usually fairly limited in both what it covers and how long the coverage is offered for. Safeware protection plans expand both coverage options and length for your equipment.
Safeware appliance protection begins when the appliance is delivered.
Food spoilage credit, power surge protection, all parts and labor, no deductibles or service fees, and no limit on the number of covered repairs.
All commercial appliances are covered.

No, there is no limit on the number of covered repairs.

No, you will need to purchase individual plans for each product.
Safeware’s appliance warranty picks up where the manufacturer leaves off, in a way we are an extension of a manufacturer’s warranty. Everything the manufacturer covers, we extend that coverage while also adding additional benefits.
Most manufacturers do not have added benefits such as power surge coverage, food spoilage.
The food spoilage coverage helps protect customers in the event of a refrigeration malfunction.
- The food spoilage coverage begins the day the equipment is delivered*, lasts the duration of the contract, and is only applicable to refrigeration equipment.
- To submit a claim for food spoilage, have customer reach out directly to Safeware.
*If the product has an Aftermarket protection plans can be sold between 60 days and 1 year of delivery OR between 60 days from delivery and end of OEM warranty (which ever is sooner).
Claims can be filed on Safeware.com, via mobile device or computer.
Claims can also be filed by calling Safeware at 800-800-1492.
Some of the information needed: name, phone number, address, email address, serial number, reference number, or plan number.
Customers can have an unlimited number of claims during the term, the contract is only fulfilled once the product has been replaced or the term is expired.
Yes the plan is transferrable to a new owner.
If you move out of state, Safeware’s warranty will move with you as we are available in all 50 states.
Safeware coverage follows the serial number.
This also means, if you sell your appliance before the plan has ended, the Safeware plan will stay with the product.
